Homemade Strawberry Oreos

On occasion, I run across a Pinterest gold mine. That's what happened on the day I found these little gems. Strawberry Valentine Oreo Cookies. I'm going to have to go out on a limb and say this recipe is the best dessert I've made.

All of this comes as no surprise to me because the Recipe comes from the Six Sisters' Stuff blog. Almost every Pinterest recipe success I've had can be contributed to these ladies. They are apparently FANTASTIC cooks.

Here is a quick peek at what you'll need:

The cookie comes from a combination of Strawberry Cake Mix, Shortening, and  eggs.

You form the mixture into equally sized scoops and bake for your cookie base.

The next step is your filling made of confectioner's sugar, butter, vanilla, and cream cheese.

Lather your filling in between two cookies and you have a masterpiece!
