With Christmas approaching, I’ve decided to do a little
segment called “A few of my favorite things.” So, for the next few posts, I’m
going to share just that- a few of my favorite things.
With that being said, I’m not a trendsetter and really
haven’t ever been fashionable. I think I have been improving over the last
couple of years and with all the social media I’m currently addicted to, the
possibilities are endless. In fact, if I find myself on Pinterest it could be
an hour before I realize how much time I’ve spent looking at everybody’s outfit
ideas. I really like to follow people on Instagram who post #ootd (aka outfit
of the day- I had to google the meaning in the beginning. It’s been a slow
start ). I’ve realized that I like pretty much every kind of style
imaginable and really anything seems to go. That is how I stumbled into the blogging world, finding
websites with fashionable bloggers (I digress).
ANYWAY….
As most of you know (unless you’ve been living in a cave),
colored denim has been a huge trend for quite some time now. At first I shied
away because I felt like that was too big of a color pop for me to pull off,
but then for some reason I decided to buy a pair. I decided on…Red (good way to
start subtle, right? NOT). Anyway, these red denim pants have probably been my favorite
pair of pants that I have ever owned and I think they could probably go with
almost any top.
So, I created my two favorite looks with red denim on Polyvore. This site is beyond awesome to put outfits
together and even find clothing to buy.
One of my top choices would have to be red denim with a
chambray button-up top. I recently bought one from J. Crew Factory,
but I haven’t tried it yet.
My other favorite look is red denim with a black polka dot
shirt. I think red and black always look good together and polka dots are
definitely in right now. My red denim and black top both came from Belk. (I couldn’t find the link to the top because
I bought it on the clearance rack. I found one similar at J. Crew factory I also love the black quilted flats I bought at Target.)
Probably my favorite piece of clothing this winter.
Who knew I would like red so much?

I enjoyed it. Wine or burgandy would be a really great color for winter, especially with a grey or cream top, I think you should get some!
DeleteLove your red jeans! I have a pair but it's a really bright red. I want a pair more the color of yours :)
